Meaning and boundaries

Adhesive residue may include backing, plasticizer, dirt, and weathered polymer. A sticky mark does not identify the adhesive chemistry.

Why it matters in glass restoration

Removal methods that are safe for uncoated glass may damage coatings, decorative surfaces, interlayers, gaskets, or sealants.
