Meaning and boundaries

Ceramic frit is not ordinary paint, contamination, a removable film, or a pyrolytic or vacuum-deposited functional coating.

Why it matters in glass restoration

Abrasive treatment on the fritted surface can permanently change pattern, color, thickness, gloss, coverage, and product acceptance.
