Meaning and boundaries
An IGU is the sealed glass assembly, not the entire window, frame, or opening. It is not the same as laminated glass, though a lite within an IGU can be laminated.
Why it matters in glass restoration
Surface location, coatings, seal condition, internal deposits, pressure effects, and access determine whether observed damage is reachable or restorable.
