Meaning and boundaries
Particles can become embedded, cemented, or trapped under tools. Once bonded or embedded, they are no longer merely loose particulate.
Why it matters in glass restoration
Dry wiping or dragging tools across loose abrasive particles can create scratches that were not present before cleaning began.
