Meaning and boundaries

Runoff can contain uncured polymer, oils, plasticizers, surfactants, dirt, or weathering products. It is not necessarily silicone and may not be visible when dry.

Why it matters in glass restoration

Sealant-related films can streak, attract soil, change wetting, discolor glass, and require product-specific compatibility review.
