Meaning and boundaries
Alkaline attack is not simply the presence of an alkaline deposit. A high-pH material can leave residue, attack the surface, or do both.
Why it matters in glass restoration
Fresh concrete, cement slurry, caustic cleaners, and some runoff can create persistent haze, roughening, pitting, or loss of gloss.
